Johannesburg - The cold front causing cold and windy conditions has set in over some parts of the country, the SA Weather Service said on Saturday.
Forecaster Evert Scholtz said a cold front passed Cape Town on Friday night and was still over the south-west part of the country.
He said it would move to Namibia, Central Free State, southern KwaZulu-Natal by Sunday afternoon.
In Gauteng, the cold front was expected to set in on Sunday night and residents were expected to feel the freeze on Monday morning.
He said it would then move to the Limpopo and southern Mozambique on Monday afternoon.
Scholtz said the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape would experience snow falls, gale force winds.
The sea off those provinces would also be rough once the cold front settled in.
The cold conditions in the country were expected to last until the end of the week, said Scholtz.
